JBT are excited to have this completely bespoke Gavin Mair derived, Global Marine Design, Air Rider 12.6m RIB with quad Suzuki DF300 engines. This truly is a superb idea of how far you can push the RIB concept and make it cross as many purposes as possible. The brief for this boat was to achieve and maintain 40 knots in a 2.5m sea which it met without issue.
This 12.6m Air Rider RIB, “Aftershock” is an engineering marvel which boasts a specification and inventory that is way too extensive to individually list. We do have a comprehensive document that can be emailed that runs through the history and hardware that has been installed. The passionate owner of this RIB wonder has ensured that nothing was left to chance when she was made and the electric and engine installation are done to a standard very seldom found in any boat let alone a RIB.
Following extensive and successful testing, this RIB was unfortunatley laid up into storage for a number of years whilst her owner concentrated on other projects. For this reason she is being offered with extremely low hours on her hardy Suzuki V6 engines.
The layout aboard “Aftershock” is very versatile and she would be at home in most commercial environments including fishing, pontoon work and surveying as well as a being a luxurious large private vessel. Indeed, her speed and big sea comfort would make and excellent platform to cross the channel or do extended passage making. The really large foredeck has a triple bench at the back of it and provides a great position to experience the boats speed. It also has several anchor points to ensure that load can be secured tightly. The cockpit area has four very comfortable seats that can be folded should you choose to stand when under way. The rear deck incorporates a large seating area that can be converted in to a large dinette or sun pad depending on what is needed. Below decks there is a small galley, a good-sized heads and berths for up to four people.
Without a doubt, this “Aftershock” Air Rider RIB need to be seen to be fully appreciated. Please call the office on 02392 397000 if you require any further information as there is much to discuss with this boat.
