The Zodiac 650 Pro-Open has been around for many years and offers a very practical space for family fun, the two-person leaning post behind the console, the three-person rear bench and the large cushion over the anchor locker are there for security and comfort when running at speed. When the anchor is deployed the fishing can commence, grab a rod from one of the four fishing rod holders behind the console seat and get catching! If you prefer to be in the water with the fish, it’s nice to know when it’s time to come out you can use the handy, fold down, stainless steel boarding ladder on the transom. Cold drinks and sandwiches can be dispensed from the cool box underneath the rear bench seat. As regards storage there are several areas where kit can be stowed, the hinged console exposes a cavernous ‘hidey hole’ the anchor locker offers space beyond the anchor rope and chain too. On the console itself is an array of electronics to aid the skipper and provide entertainment for all. The Garmin GPS is a fish finder too, the Yamaha gauges offer fuel flow data, engine data, as well as error warnings. The Fusion stereo has Bluetooth functionality built in. The hydraulic steering and DBW throttle make helming a dream.
