RIBs For sale have recently welcomed this lightly used Humber, 8m Ocean Pro into their brokerage inventory. She is powered by a mighty Evinrude 300hp Gen 2 E-Tec that has only covered 31 hours since new. The boat was first launched in 2021 and the layout / inventory of kit was specified by the current owner. She is a proper load / people carrying vessel, equipped to deal with the most challenging conditions, Humber RIBs are sold predominantly into the commercial market and are robust and built to last. The stainless-steel work is impressive throughout, with a large samson post in the bow, lifting eyes, a double A-frame at the stern with separate radar mounting bracket and a range of jockey seats with hand holds for keeping passengers secure. The bow has been reinforced and the tubes have additional rubbing strakes.  In terms of other metal work, there is a fully equipped, French Twin Axle Remorques Mecanorem trailer, with canting roller bed, underneath it.  

 

The layout lends itself perfectly for divers, race yacht companies (crew transfer), charter businesses or simply for a sociable family with lots of friends! Ahead of the console the bow section is open and spacious with a sunken deck locker to stow the anchor and associated lines etc. The console itself is hinged and folds back to enable access to the batteries (x 2).  On the front face of the console there is an array of equipment to aid the skipper comprising, Garmin 10” GPS, Garmin Radar, AIS (Class B), Standard Horizon VHF, Evinrude digital engine gauge, switch gear for all the accessories and the digital throttle control which provides precise, instant responses from the E-Tec 300. There is also a Fusion stereo for entertainment! Behind the console there are 6 x jockey seats and a 3-person bench seat, all with storage underneath. There is a dedicated well at the transom for catching the water that runs down the deck, the automatic bilge pump then takes care of bailing it. Behind the transom is where the action takes place. When the throttle is engaged the 300hp E-Tec kicks into life and the four blade stainless steel prop ensures a speedy transition to plane. The service interval schedule for the E-Tec’s (In-line with Evinrude’s maintenance schedule) is 5years! Which keeps the annual outgoings reasonably low.  And finally, for complete peace of mind, there is warranty cover on the engine until 2026.
