Genoa boat show….JBT marine,  Ribsforsale visit

Last week we returned from the Genoa boat show.

For those of you that don’t know, Genoa boat show boasts some of the most impressive RIBS in the world. Each time I go the Ribs just seem to get bigger and bigger! The RIBs that you see on display in Genoa are not quite the same that you might see at a British RIB show but they certainly are impressive.

I think that the main differences really relate to that fact that the Italian Rib builders are generally building boats for hot sunny days in the MED, whereas in the UK we need our RIBs to be capable of putting up with a little more abuse and a very wide range of conditions, And of course the passengers tend to need a little more support!

When I first saw the Williams jet Tender in the UK, I thought it was impressively priced but its nothing compared to some of the luxury super yacht tenders that you might see at the Genoa boat show.

Then there are the Cabin RIBs……… If you haven’t been to Genoa you have no idea what is going on in the world of Italian cabin RIBs. You can see cabin RIBs in all shapes and sizes, and a surprisingly large quantity over 40 yes 40 foot!!
