Wakeboarding behind 250 horses!
After hearing about Jonny and Louise taking wakeboarding lessons at Chichester Watersports in an earlier blog – here’s my brother and I wakeboarding from the back of a Ballistic 7.8m off Southsea Seafront. Powered by an Evinrude Etec 250, there was no shortage of pace..
And yes, you’ve guessed it – it’s not me managing to get up, it’s my brother – I’m helming the Ballistic RIB (not taking the photos at the same time I should add!) in fairly decent conditions a few hundred yards off the beach towards Eastney.
The Ballistic 7.8 proved to be a fantastic RIB for watersports – big enough to take a gang of us out for the day and keep all our kit safe and dry – stable enough for relaxing off the beach in comfort and easily powerful enough to get all of us (bar 1) out of the water each time. And, despite being a fairly meaty outboard, the etec was never that thirsty for a day on the water of mixed use.
Anyway, here’s to saving few more £ to buy the latest model from Ballistic which looks like its a corker!
