Ballistic 5.5m RIB in Malaysia

At the end of 2009 we sold our first Ballistic RIB to a company in Malaysia. It was an exciting new project for JBT Marine as we had not supplied RIBs to the Far East before.

The logistics of the operation were dealt with in South Africa by Pronto Clearing, the boat was shipped straight out to Port Kelang from Cape Town. When the guys in Malaysia recieved the container there was a great deal of excitement, they had been waiting in anticipation for some time.

Once they had unpacked the boat and started to rig it with the standard Evinrude E-Tec 90hp engine they called upon us for some technical tips, other than that everything was very straight forward. The boat is now in use and running well.

We are delighted to see Ballistic RIBs making their way around the world. Hopefully this will be the first of many.
