Stolen Boats is a joint venture between Police forces across the UK and the main marine insurance companies and loss adjustors. All stolen boats, RIBs, outboards and marine equipment that have identification numbers are put on the Stolen Boats website either by the Police or the Insurance companies. This allows members of the public to check if items they are potentially purchasing are stolen. There is also a confidential link to allow members of the public to provide information on stolen items. The site is updated on a regular basis and has become the first site that the Police refer to in the event of recovering marine equipment.

We would highly recommend you take a look at this website before purchasing a RIB, outboard etc as there has been a huge increase in theft over the past few months – 80% increase in the Sussex area alone.
