Family RIB, Family Fun on the Water
Have you always wanted to get your family out on a RIB but thought that they were not very family friendly? Then please allow me to change your mind.
There are a number of things that you should consider when looking at a family RIB (rigid inflatable boats); safety, stability, seating, layout but the most important thing is what fun you can have with it. There are many makes of RIBs such as Avon, Cobra, Revenger, Tornado on the market all of which will have a combination of family attributes but none more than the Ballistic range of RIBs.
RIBs are very stable, the combination of the tubes, deep-v hull and hull design make it so, especially when at rest. The stability also adds to the safety of the RIB.
The best seating you can have for a family RIB should include a rear bench seat. A bench seat is ideal for small children as it allows adults to sit on either side of the children and keep a better eye on them. Some makes of RIB also come with a sun bed area up front, perfect for the wife, which can be removed and changed into a seating area. This is ideal for sitting around whilst moored of a beach munching on yummy sandwiches!
RIBs generally have lots of storage space for all the picnic food, BBQ and ski equipment you might want to take with you.
So imagine
…bypassing the miles of dirty, sweaty, headache-inducing traffic on the way to the beach…the cool wind in your face as you cut through the waves with family and friends, riding ashore with your picnic basket, barbecue and cool box…
…speeding over to Cowes or cruising the Channel to France for a day spent enjoying the delights of the ‘la vie française’…lunching at a café, sampling the catch of the day…stocking up on wine, beer and cheese…
…embarking on a romantic, moonlit cruise…the rhythmic lapping of the waves on the boat, starlight illuminating your path, the water sparkling as you go, the champagne chilling in the cool box…
…racing along the water, splicing and dicing the waves on your water-skis or wakeboard, feeling the wind blasting past your face, the adrenalin surging through your body…
Imagine…
…exploring the deep blue sea, diving amongst the vivid colours of the world beneath the waves…
…the happy smiles on your kids faces after a fantastic day on the water.
